Daily Dose of Inspiration

“You do not have to struggle to reach God, but you do have to struggle to tear away the self-created veil that hides Him from you.”

~ Paramahansa Yogananda, Autobiography of a Yogi

What do you think that veil is between you and God, my friend? Could it be your perception of what God is?

Maybe we should review some basics.

He is omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent. His center is everywhere and His circumference is nowhere. The simple fact that you are alive and breathing, that your eyes opened this morning, that your heart is beating and all the other bodily functions happen automatically without any conscious awareness of it on your part implies that He is fully aligned with you being here. Right?

The tricky part, I suppose, is whether we believe He’s like Santa Claus and judging our every behavior or not. Do you think that God wants to punish you?

What if He is entirely neutral and is simply responding equally to the vibration that you and everyone and everything else is emitting all at the same time in every instant? If that were the case, He would, by means of the world around you, reflect back to you the judgment — vibration — that you are emitting. He wouldn’t be the one punishing then, would He?

You are never alone. He’s with you in every instant. It can’t be any other way. All you have to do is think of love, my friend, and the veil will fall away.
