Daily Dose of Inspiration

“Chronic remorse, as all the moralists are agreed, is a most undesirable sentiment. If you have behaved badly, repent, make what amends you can and address yourself to the task of behaving better next time. On no account brood over your wrongdoing. Rolling in the muck is not the best way of getting clean.”

~ Aldous Huxley, Brave New World

We have to be willing to let go of the past and allow ourselves the grace to begin anew with a fresh start. Can you do that, my friend? Can you release any and all guilt or remorse you may feel?

Guilt and remorse are really inside jobs. Sure others may dish it out to us in an effort to control us, but we don’t have to take it. Or, if in some way it’s appropriate, we can clean it up and move along.

We’re always just a decision away from a fresh start. You deserve it, my friend.
