Daily Dose of Inspiration

“How do you live when you believe the thought that your body should be different? How does that feel? “I’ll be happy later, when my body is healed.” “I should be thinner, healthier, prettier, younger.” This is very old religion. If I think my body should be different from what it is now, I’m out of my business. I’m out of my mind!

“I’m not asking you to let go of your body, as if such a thing were possible. I’m asking you to own your body, to care for it, to take a look at your beliefs about it, to put them on paper, inquire, and turn them around.”

~ Byron Katie, Loving What Is

You know, my friend, we could eliminate so much unnecessary suffering if only we could adopt a perspective that allows us to examine our thoughts and beliefs before we let them take control of our behavior and circumstances.

Fortunately, it’s never too late to turn your mind back into your best friend instead of your worst enemy. And lucky you to have Bikram Yoga where you get to fine tune your mind and your body at the same time.
