Daily Dose of Inspiration

“We live under the impression that for something to be divine it has to be perfect. We are mistaken. In fact, the exact opposite is true. To be divine is to be whole and to be whole is to be everything: the positive and the negative, the good and the bad, the holy man and the devil. When we take the time to discover our shadow and its gifts we will understand what Jung meant by, “The gold is in the dark.” Each of us needs to find that gold in order to reunite with our sacred self.”

~ Debbie Ford, Dark Side of the Lightchasers

Most likely you know that there are many different disciplines of yoga practiced all around the world. But did you know that Bikram is the one responsible for the use of mirrors in the yoga room? Well, he is. We call it the “cosmic mirror.” You know why? Because you are looking directly into the eyes of your best teacher. The mirrors force you to face what is and then, with time and acceptance, you get to witness as what is transforms into what you want it to be.

Never underestimate the power in acceptance, my friend.
