Daily Dose of Inspiration

“Unless you try something beyond what you have already mastered, you will not grow.”

~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

When it comes to life, we are either growing and evolving or stagnating and deteriorating. Seems a bit harsh, I know, but look at nature. It’s not just true for us, it’s true for everything.

Perhaps it’d be helpful to take stock of where you are now, my friend, what your life is like in the present, and then take a look at what your life would be like a year, 5 years, even 10 years into your future assuming that you make no changes and continue on your present path. If what you see sits well with you, then stay the course. If it doesn’t, well, it’s time to make a change.

Now you don’t have to go diving into the deep end when you try something new, but you do have to give it a go. Start by giving yourself a direction by deciding upon a life you’d love to be living. It’s okay to just test the water with your toes at first to make sure you’d really like it.

Remember, my friend, there’s nothing wrong with taking baby steps. What’s important is that you begin charting a new course.
