“The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts: therefore, guard accordingly, and take care that you entertain no notions unsuitable to virtue and reasonable nature.”
~ Marcus Aurelius
Thoughts are powerful. And they become even more powerful the longer you focus on them. But there may come some moments when you find yourself reveling in a vengeful thought. What then?
It’s okay, my friend, short lived thoughts don’t really carry much power. You see, thoughts feed off of attention so the moment you shift your attention to something else they die off.
But… thoughts are powerful. A vengeful thought can shift you out of depression or fear, and a hopeful thought can shift you out of frustration. Notice how your thoughts affect how you feel and make them work for you. Direct them always towards something that feels a little better, and a little better, and a little better until, before you know it … Happiness!
Thoughts are powerful things, my friend. Use them with deliberately!
