“Emotions are the nexxus between matter and mind, going back and forth between the two and influencing both.”
~ Candace Pert
Too often we discount our emotions, thinking it’s better to ignore them or stuff them away. But they’re there, and they’re real, and they’re not going to go away until we honor and address them.
Emotions serve a purpose. They are your body’s response to a judgment that you’re holding in your mind. They run the gamut from grief and depression to elation, joy and love. They travel through your central nervous system and can affect all parts of your body instantaneously. Your emotions cause you to blush, smile, grimace, clench your fists, laugh, sweat, cry, etc.
And while it seems like they’re a response to something that happened outside of you, something you observed perhaps, that’s not really their cause. The cause of your emotions is the judgment you have about a thing or event, etc.
So dial in, my friend, what is that judgment? Is it positive or negative? There’s no need to change the positive ones but you don’t want the negative emotions to linger for long or they’ll wreak havoc on your immune system and lead to decline in all aspects of your life.
There are countless other ways that you could view the situation. Ask yourself to find some positive ones and focus on those.
When you release the negative emotions, my friend, you boost your quality of life.
