“Prayer is a concentration and fear is a concentration, and as prayer brings things that are desired by the prayerful, so fear brings things that are feared… Mastery lies in creative concentration of mind. The mind impressed by one’s faults and by one’s weaknesses becomes feeble and meets failures, and cannot hold a desired thought with hope and trust.”
~ Hazrat Inayat Khan
Look beyond your faults and weaknesses, my friend, and focus instead on your strengths. It is too easy to be your own worst critic which only leads you down a path to nowhere good. Instead, bolster your belief in yourself in every way possible.
Every negative judgment you have of yourself (or anything else) takes you out of alignment with Spirit. This lack of alignment is what undermines all of your efforts. So just know that Spirit sees only the good. Spirit knows that even what we perceive as bad harbors the seed of good within it — in some way it is serving a purpose.
Appreciate and look for the good, my friend. That’s all you need to do. Appreciate the good and soon you’ll witness your world changing for the better all around you.
