“Ultimately, when you open your heart to yourself, you will find you have compassion for everything and everybody.”
~ Debbie Ford, The Dark Side of the Light Chasers
You know, my friend, it’s okay to be imperfect. In fact, it’s natural to be imperfect. Haven’t you noticed how it’s those imperfections that make us all unique and interesting? Plus, they create opportunity for growth.
Now, there’s nothing wrong with striving for perfection, but to condemn yourself or others for imperfections simply reflects a closed heart. Release those negative judgments about yourself and others, my friend, and you’ll open your heart so that love and compassion can flow. This, after all, is what we’re all longing for anyway.
