“The process of change requires unlearning. It requires breaking the habit of the old self and reinventing a new self.”
~ Joe Dispenza
This unlearning, my friend, this process of breaking the old habits takes work. Even when you’ve consciously made a decision to change, the pull of the familiar old habits is strong. It’ll ebb and flow like the tide. One day you’ll be on task and driven with purpose and the next you slip back into the old ways without even realizing it.
Of course, discipline and determination are powerful tools of transformation, but if you create new, more empowering habits aligned with the new you you’re inventing, the old ones will simply drop away. And the best part, my friend, is that when your desire for the new is strong enough, the energy behind your actions shifts from work to joy.
Make sure you love the new self your inventing.
